This classic korean gift wrapper is named pojagi or bojagi. The cloth is an artistic way of wrapping various gifts for special occasions, used in several contexts when there is a desired to signal how important the gift is. This one is made of reused hand-woven patches of hemp fabrics, in varying scales of natural-colored shades. The patches have been hand-sewn with a commercial cotton thread into this square cloth. All patches are of homegrown hemp, debarked and spliced into very fine, glossy yarns. The average weave density of the fabrics is 14 x 11-12 th/cm.
