The apron is a traditional French wine making apron. The fabric is made of home-grown and probably home-spun hemp but woven in a workshop, due to the common twill fabric. As well the fabric width which is approximately 1 m. In fact the apron has no fabric edges, has been cut and hemmed in one piece. Adding a small gather at the waist which is also fitted with a commercial cotton tie, the red monogram is of also of commercial cotton yarn.
