This rustic but unusual patterned twill sack is made of coarse flax yarn, probably from a flax stand grown for seed, as evidenced by the coarseness and remaining wood fragments. The warp yarn is thinner than the weft yarn, both hand-spun. The fabric is hand-woven, approximately 6 x 6 th/cm in a width of 46 cm.  Excellent as a mattress- or pillow cover in country style.
