This traditional folk apron has been sewn together from a large amount of fabric, 7 pieces in a fabric width of 35 centimeters. The waistband and ribbon are made of raw cotton, likely homegrown and hand-spuned. But for sure the main fabric is made of homegrown ramie (Boehmeria nivea), the yarn has been finely spliced and handwoven in a quality of 14 x 11 tr/cm. Both the yarn and the fabric are of high quality, have been cold-mangled with increased gloss.
