Hemp is the central theme in this satchel used for its functional lining. The distinctive decorative fringe is fashioned from glass beads and aluminum bangels. The embellishments represent a diverse assembly of cut-work applique, satin-stich, and counted cross-stich embroidery. The hemp lining has been woven on a backstrap loom and is made from homegrown hemp harvested after the seeds have matured, hence the rustic quality of 8 x 6 threads/cm.
