This traditional skirt consists of two hemp fabrics, each aprox. 6 to 7 meters long, sewn together and narrowly pleated. The hemp fabric is made of home-grown hemp yarn which is spliced and hand-woven. The lower panel is made of 11 x 13 tr/cm, indigo batik patterned with appliques. The fabric in the upper panel is made of 14 x 15 tr/cm and plain indigo dyed. The upper band is made of commercial cotton.
