The value of this fabric is that it is made of home-grown hemp. Previously used as a bedspread with a unique kilim patterned panel of cotton yarns. The base fabric is hand-woven of hemp in weft and factory cotton in warp (11 x 16 tr/cm), woven in twill with colored weft stripes of cotton. The piece is made of two and a half widths, sewn together with somewhat careless machine stitches with a colored band. Along one edge is a hand-crocheted lace strip.
